Larry is an accomplished entrepreneur who has founded and built several $100 million plus revenue businesses. He was nominated Arizona Entrepreneur of the Year, is listed in Who’s Who of American Executives, is a member of the World President’s Organization (WPO) and served in several leadership positions in Young President’s Organization (YPO) and has served on the board of trustees for several sustainable non-profit organizations.
With the goal to help change the way medicine is practiced in America, Larry co-founded and created the world’s leading integrative medicine and product licensing company with the renowned physician and author Andrew Weil, M.D. The company was a pure start-up. Larry developed the initial business plan, secured funding and co-created an international web and licensing business that now exceeds $100 million in revenues.
As a hands on leader, Larry worked his way through college as a mechanic and machinist and spent the early years of his career managing a subsidiary of Exxon in the heavy equipment and industrial repair and rebuild businesses mining, oil and gas and utilities. He then founded EMS, Equipment Maintenance Services and, as CEO, built the company from start-up into the largest independent repair and service company for rotating equipment, diesel-electric power systems, gas and steam turbines, compressors and large scale machine services in the western U.S. The company reached #24 on Inc. Magazine’s fastest growing companies in America.
Larry successfully transitioned the company with the largest independent industrial services company in the world, a public UK, PLC, and served five years as a member of their international board of directors. The company is now a subsidiary of Sulzer Turbo Services, Switzerland.
